Meet the Founder

Dilan Tunc

With a background that might seem unconventional for the fashion world, Dilan Tunc brings a unique blend of analytical precision, strategic thinking, and hands-on industry experience to luxury fashion production.

Dilan holds a Master’s degree and Postgraduate specialization in Tax Law, and began her career as a tax advisor within the financial sector, working for global firms such as PwC and EY in Antwerp, Brussels, and London. During her years at the Big Four, she developed a deep understanding of complex, high-stakes environments—an experience that now underpins the structured and results-driven approach she brings to fashion production.

What began as supporting her sister’s clothing brand gradually evolved into co-managing the business, with a specific focus on overseeing production in Istanbul. Over the course of almost a decade, Dilan became intimately involved in all aspects of garment development and high-end manufacturing. From sourcing luxury fabrics to working directly with ateliers on couture-level pieces, she built a strong foundation in what would become her next chapter.

As designers and boutique labels began to approach her for support with their own collections, it became clear that there was a gap in the market: European designers needed a trusted, experienced partner who could translate their vision into high-quality garments—especially when designs were complex and required specialized execution.

Thus, House of Threads was born.

Dilan now works as a strategic bridge between Europe and Turkey, helping brands navigate everything from fabric sourcing to final production, while ensuring couture-level standards are met at every step. Under her guidance, House of Threads has helped numerous labels bring their collections to life—no matter the level of difficulty, volume, or artistic detail required.

“It takes more than creativity to bring a collection to life—it takes structure, clarity, and the right people behind every thread.”
